Gluten-Free Goes Gourmet with the Help of Rose Reisman

We recently discovered that gluten-free has gone gourmet, with the magic touch of well known health and wellness, and culinary expert, Rose Reisman. Rose is an author of 17 cookbooks, a media personality and caterer. She is a regular guest on Canada AM, Breakfast TV, CityLine and 680 News, a regular newspaper and online contributor to Dr. Oz’s “Sharecare” website, the National Post, Huffington Post Canada, and Metro News. Rose is the owner of Rose Reisman Catering, and menu consultant at Glow Restaurant and the Pickle Barrel chain. She holds an MBA, and is a Nutritionist and Adjunct Professor at York University’s Faculty of Health. Yes, Rose is one busy lady!

Rose also created Personal Gourmet, which is a daily food delivery service in Toronto, designed for people who want to eat healthy and delicious food! There is no start date, end date or need for consecutive days, which is super convenient for people on the go! A new gluten-free menu was recently launched, and we were lucky enough to sample some of the gourmet dishes. (OK we admit: the chocolate raspberry smoothie didn’t last long enough to be illustrated here, it was just tooo good!) And what could be better than having healthy, savory, gluten-free gourmet meals and snacks sent straight to your door? It’s a gluten-free dream come true! You receive a caloric count for each meal, and all meals are savory, nutritionally balanced and packed with nutritional value. All of Rose’s meals are beautifully packaged and presented with Rose’s personal touch – not a detail is missed; each meal offers a colorful presentation, right down to golden twist ties and artistically cut fresh fruit and vegetables! And your meals arrive in a cool ice pack filled cooler bag, delivered right on your doorstep – fresh. What better way to pamper oneself with food – room service anyone?

Time for breakfast? Gluten-Free pancakes with fresh mango and strawberries with maple syrup, 200 calories. Deeelish!

There are lots of fresh fruit options for snacks between meals, and even snacks come with caloric counts.

There are several fresh salad options, including this baby spinach and sauteed mushroom salad with grilled chicken and mandarin orange segments.

Crudites with tzatziki anyone? Only 100 calories!

Grilled salmon teriyaki, orange and dried cranberry quinoa and (crisp!) steamed green beans with toasted almonds, 500 calories. This quinoa is mildly sweet and full of flavor!

Here’s another breakfast option: Light egg salad on a gluten-free bun with a fresh fruit kebab, 200 calories! Rose created a delightful, soft, light gluten-free bun (you would never know) that is perrrrfect warmed, with a touch of butter.

Another salad option: Thai salad lettuce wraps with grilled chicken, sliced peppers, carrots, cucumbers and bean sprouts, 300 calories!

Roast sirloin of beef with caramelized onions, mashed potatoes and sweet peas with julienned sundried tomatoes, 500 calories.

OK, saving something very special for the end of this introduction to Personal Gourmet: Rose Reisman’s divine Gluten-Free Biscotti (200 calories) with strawberry yogurt (40 calories) for dipping. And it’s complimentary for first time clients! This Biscotti is unbelievable – it is to die for, and literally shocking that it is gluten-free. How did Rose do it? She has truly made the outlook for gluten-free options more Rosie than ever!
