Back to school is less than 2 weeks away, and many parents are scrambling to get their children back in the groove. With limited time on our hands, it’s always easier to grab prepackaged snacks and desserts from store shelves. The ingredients, however, can be frightening, particularly for young children! This is a recipe you can make in seconds, and it makes a great healthy snack or dessert for your child’s lunchbox. You can even sneak in a few added pureed vegetables and nobody will notice! Fill 1/2 cup portions in small, colorful tupperware containers. Happy lunchbox packing!
3 ripe avocados
1/2 cup each of softened dates
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1. Puree all ingredients in large bowl until you have a smooth consistency.
